Ok I have a question for the experts out there.  I live in Alaska and up here the trend has been to install t-111 as structural sheathing then to install windows on top of the t-111 and trim over the nailing flanges.  This is not the way I have done or would like to do my windows and siding.  I have used OSB as my structural sheathing and want to install my windows then the siding.  Due to cost I will probably use clap boards on the front and the OSM equivalent of t-111 on the other 3 sides.  Has anyone done this?  I know it will be a lot more measuring to cut out the windows, but it seems like a much better way of doing things. What would be the best way to trim out the outside of the window?  (By the way my window order just came in they are Pella 450s).  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is the superior way to install windows as you can do a proper head flashing.

Your windows will come with brand specific instructions.

If you have the first book on my booklist, look on page 112 for an overview.
