I wonder IF the citizens of this country even have enough backbone to defend the nation when our sham government finally goes too far......Are there any military leaders who know their first duty is to the country and not necessarily to the President? Is there a leader is the "system" who will depose a Commander in Chief..if it needs to be done?

Will the greedy neo-con generation that seems to drive us put the Nation before profit or will they just sit by and watch a Dictator take over?

When the public goes to sleep, a government will do whatever it wants .... unless the citizens stop it. We are lucky in this country, in that we have the ability to stop our government without weapons...the system will work, but we must make it work. Checks and balances.....

THIS election is the most important in our history.....The President and his appointees have got to be checksd and there must be a balance returned to the government.

At this point in time I have very little faith in any Govt. official making the necessary changes.  WE as consumers have to take back out power in the way we spend our dollars...  The US consumer RUNS THIS WORLD not just this country and it is about time people stood up and made that clear. Recently some in the air Force showed that there is some backbone there.  Some of their leaders had to be complicit with the White House, but others in the Air Force were willing to sacrifice their lives to stop it.

In the nuclear weapons theft by Cheney or Bush for some sort of covert agenda, last count I remeber, seven Brave Air Force Servicemen who stopped the theft of all but one weapon are  now dead at last count.  These guys truly were patriots and gave their lives for their country.

Here is a pretty good explanation of the incident along with the possible agenda.  I skimmed it only to see that it was in agreement with most of the other things I have read regarding the incident.

Think about the state of our country when they are sucessful in blocking our access to media? Even with the poor job our "free" press is doing, it's better than pure propaganda. Cheney keeps trying to take our freedoms in order to protect us from those who wish us harm......

Fox watching the hen house..... Look for the scum in Washington to take extreme measures in the next few months .... They have to do something to put more fear in the country. A nuclear attack on us by them (the Bush/Cheney gang) wouldn't be at all unexpected. Shout Iran and we're in another war with marshall law......A Dictator and Chancellor......It only takes a few days for a government to fall and be replaced.....

DISSENT IN AMERICA TO BE RELABELED 'HOMEGROWN TERRORISM'

On October 23, 2007, the House of Representatives passed what may be the most dangerous bill ever to come down the pike. This bill, like many of its predecessors on our steady march toward totalitarianism, sailed under the radar. There was virtually no publicity or fanfare. Now, the bill has gone to the Senate, and is in committee.

The bill is called the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 (H.R. 1955/S. 1959). The language in this bill is so maddeningly vague it could mean anything. It could therefore be tailored to attack any group opposing national and international policies that have the backing of the corporatist-governmental power system.

Consider the definition offered of 'violent radicalization' (from Sec. 899A of the bill being referred to the Senate): "the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change."

This definition alone ought to raise your hackles! What counts as an 'extremist belief system'? What constitutes 'violence'? Either one is anyone's guess, because nowhere in the bill is the word 'extremist' defined, nor is 'violence' defined. In practice, they will mean whatever federal bureaucrats or others calling the shots want them to mean. What about 'facilitating'? This is a favorite word in today's mushy political-correctese. Does it mean 'causing'? Or merely 'encouraging'? How much 'encouragement'?

Consider the definition offered for 'homegrown terrorism': "the use, planned use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual born, raised, or based and operating primarily within the United States or any possession of the United States to intimidate or coerce the United States government, the civilian population of the United States, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives."

No examples of 'homegrown terrorism' are offered.  con't @

Dissent in America has been a crime a couple of times. John Adams didn't believe in the Bill of Rights or the freedom of speech and Abraham Lincoln put a stop to free speech. Both were dictator wannabees....both were about like Bush II. Anytime a President believes his job is to RULE instead of government along with TWO other Branches...we're in trouble.

Anytime a President decides the Constitution and the American legal system should be UNDER the Executive Branch...we're in for trouble.

It's sick what's been done in and to the United States in the last 7 years, but it is no surprise....all these players are doing what they've always done.....people need to be aware of who they give power to.
