I don't believe for a moment that the "cover picture" of the house in Ethiopia is "normal" for the area.  Huge and empty, as if it the decorator had just left.

The couple who is opening their house to people to sleep on the couch, maybe that's what it looks like most of the time.  

The hotel room for three in Russia, that looks like they just took a picture and put it up on the site.
