ice and water shield

   Can you please let me know if I have the right steps ,for starting my roof... I plan to start with a drip edge/roll out 1 layer of ice and water shield/ start felt paper appox. 6" over the ice shield/ then install drip edge over felt ,on sides. and start shingling. Thats the plan,if there is any changes I should make,like...felt completly over ice shield, or drip edge after ice shield...etc..

You got it Mike.
Drip edge the eves first.
Then the ice/water shield around the eves.
Then the roofing felt.
Then the drip edges on the rake (sides that go up the gable end), on top of the felt..
Then a starter row of shingles along the eve.
Then do the roof.
Then the ridge.
Have a beer.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
