This is slightly off topic but I had to tell you all. I just watch a video on PBS called "One Man's Wilderness" and it was awsome. It's about a man who lived alone in the Alaska wilderness alone for 30 years. The first part was about him building a cabin by hand. Know power tools. Just hand saw and hand drills.(man to we have easy today)Then he built the stone fireplace by hand. He also made shelves and other wood working skills. It is something you all should watch to feel inspired.
They are replaying it on PBS this Friday in my area in Delaware. If you get a chance try and catch it.

Thats the kind of thing I like although I'm too lazy to do it without power tools.  My granddad homesteaded in Oregon but I think my building style is much more primitive than his.  ;D
