For what it's worth....  Home Depot has 2 distinct and separate websites

http://www.homedepot.com      and

http://contractorservices.homedepot.com/

Prices are the same on anything I've ever checked BUT the available products list varies.  :-/

I like some things on the consumer site better and vice versa.

For example, the contractors website has a very complete listing of virtually any electrical wire/cable, whereas the consumer site lists only one type of electrical wire. Many more switches on the contractor site as well.

The consumer website has 202 microwave ovens listed while the contractors site lists 32.

Further frustrating is that the 2 sites bear little resemblance to each other. The layout and divisions are different. It's like they were totally separate companies, or different companies. I get confused by the differences, but sometimes find something on one and not the other, but at times the info is useful.

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

One thing you can count on being the same is that they will usually have the best movers but the last 4 most important things you need to complete the job will not be in stock. :o :)
