In case you need another reason to not vote for Obama...

"... Barack Obama's mantra of "change" means their agenda will be harnessed to the total power of an aggressive, activist and radical federal government.

"Change" means gun owners will be under siege like never before. "

Click HERE for the "Learn More" link on the above poster.

Note: In my opinion if you are NOT in favor of all these points of Obama's it is not enough to abstain from voting this November. It is necessary to vote for McCain, even if you don't like him or his policies. Sometimes you must choose between the lesser of two perceived evils.

The 2008 election will determine who controls:

    *  U.S. participation in the anti-gun United Nations;
    *  Appointments to the federal courts, including the critical U.S. Supreme Court;
    *  The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives;
    *  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which the Brady Campaign now insists should ban firearms in every place of employment in America;
    *  The Department of State, which could give credence and funding to the world gun-ban efforts of Rebecca Peters' International Action Network on Small Arms (IANSA). The State Department could negotiate a U.N. global gun-ban treaty that would violate American sovereignty;
    *  The U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management, which could force huge changes on hunters and gun owners;
    *  The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which today is being petitioned to ban lead bullets for hunting, even in the ubiquitous .22 rimfire;
    *  The Environmental Protection Agency, which could conceivably close down shooting ranges throughout the country.

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Granted any party in power attempts to place Supreme Court Justices sympathetic to the party's line/view.

But did you even read Obama's record on items pertaining to the Second Amendment? The link is  http://nraila.org/obama/ and is complete with footnote references. They're not just some writers opinion, it's a recap of what Obama has done, has stated.

A candidate's past voting record is a pretty good indicator to his beliefs in my book.

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Don, the NRA should not be looked to as a champion of 2nd Amendment rights.  They have consistently compromised the RKBA.  The current NRA bozo in charge, what is his name - Joaquin something - is even worse than those past.  There are at least two  no-compromise organizations, GOA and JPFO.  Take a look at the GOA scorecard for mclame here:

I take no exception whatsoever to your Obama comments - I believe they are spot on.  Mclame has also voted to ban internet free speech as we know it.

We must stop compromising now.  The RKBA is an absolute right, predating the Constitution. It depends on no judicial decision. Compromising our rights is a tool used by the dark side.

No desire to offend, but I hope that I was not unclear.

EDIT: made last two links work for easier reference to them. - MD

Thanks for the input MikeC. You are right, the NRA has made some compromises. Still they are a well known organization.

FYI Note: RKBA = Right to Keep and Bear Arms
