A Short Christmas Story

A few years back, I had occasion to work in a small town that took pride in its display of a nativity scene.

But some of the local delinquients swiped everything, two years in a row.....the baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Magi, even a sheep or two........

The town was outraged.

Someone came up with a brainiac idea of putting the nativity on a small raft in a pond at the edge of town.

That would thwart the thieves.......uh huh

And so they did......a nativity scene....baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Magi, sheep. On the raft. In the pond.

Yep, a small town north of Green Bay, Wisconsin

I believe all of the readership here is intelligent enough to figure out what happened next.
