So yesterday the story hits abc news about the assault weapons ban and the pot gets stirred up a bit more with some comments from the new attorney general.

Well, well, well!  Looks like the knashing of teeth and rending of garments over the Democrats' plan to seize all our guns may have been premature, eh?

What will the gun lobby use to demonize Pelosi and the Democrats for now?

Premature, yes, it would seem. For now.

All this means is that we can relax a little, but remain vigilant and object to all the little things that may come along to nibble away at anything to do with guns, ammunition and the right to own firearms.

I would tend to agree with MtnDon but still need to keep ou vigilance up...  you know how they like to play "good cop/bad cop" 

Make us think everything is ok & drop our defenses & then they drop the bomb on us 

I've watched for a little longer. The AG has a big mouth and can't keep a secret.

My opinion and It's shared by other Pro gun groups, is that they just don't have the votes to pass another AW ban...they don't want to get shot down, looks bad you know.

I also agree with Don. Watch out for an end run in the future.
