Inexpensive wood interior?

I'm going to use 1/4" luan for at least half of our 16x20.  The bed nook is going to be lined with book shelves and this will be the wall covering for that area.  The grain is rich and the color a rich golden brown.  Last I looked the orange box had  it for about ~$13 a sheet.

Tile in the bathroom and the rest of the walls and ceiling will be sheetrocked.
