Can a loft be put in a Volks Cottage?

I have been looking at the plans for the Volks Cottage and would like to put in a loft for a spare bedroom.  I can picture needing a dormer or two to add head room.  What would be the possibility of doing that in a safe manner?

The Volks roof is designed for trusses. You could show the plans to the local truss supplier and they may have a solution.
