This is probably of limited usefulness, but here goes. The company is called Southco, they manufacture latches, hinges, latches, etc. I have used some of their latches on things such as the swing gate tire carrier on my Cherokee and the weather resistant boxes that house some of my solar components. They do offer free samples of their goods, IF you have a shippers account with a shipping company, such as UPS, or other.

In particular I have found their draw latches quite effective for securing doors/hatches with weatherproof gaskets.
