A local friend and real estate broker sent me her listings of small cottages and cabins that have sold in the last three years. It is an interesting list just to see what small houses go for in an active market.

The first listing is a small (400sf) cabin with an enclosed wrap around porch that has been roofed with clear corrugated acrylic roof panels. Relatively inexpensive and long lived since it is UV resistant, this material is an interesting option for getting light into a porch or mud room addition.

Here is how it is installed:

This could be an interesting and valuable upgrade to any of the three 20' wide cottage plans since they all include plans and details for a wrap around porch.

Great idea for the PNW.  Increase your space, stay outta the rain, don't block the light.

Clever.  350k for 400sf?  Must be the land and location.  Wow.
