I am interested in putting a wood stove in my cabin but I havnt figured out a way to install a chimney.
I have seen the post dug has posted but my wood stove would be in a corner instead of near the peak of the roof so the flashing will not be going under the ridge cap.
I am not sure how I would keep the chimney from leaking, or how to flash it.
The local fireplace stores want $850.00 to put the chimney through the metal  :o

Anyone have pictures of this process?
Thanks
Todd

I know they make flexible rubber boots, I saw one on Mt. Don's thread.

Enjoy that $850 you saved!  ;D

I am trying to remember the name....  and so far can not. But I got it at Metal Mart where the roofing is from.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

You could go through a sidewall and put a cleanout T horizontal at the bottom.

Not as free flowing but better than mine.   :)

MountainDon, I got one of those boots with my metal roof when I bought it, Do you have pictures of the interior through roof install?
