Tutorial 21 - Roof Sheathing (7:13 min.)

- Added Roof Sheathing within the Advanced Options.
- Added the following membrane types to the Roof Sheathing Module: BUR, MB, TPO, EPDM, PVC.
- Enabled multi-ply insulation with the roof sheathing module.

Well it's been some time since I last posted .  It appears that winter has finally caught up.  Recent temperatures have been in the mid 20's dipping to single digits. 

I decided to shut Dogtrot down for the winter.  The solar has really a blessing this summer.  The generator has only came on twice and that was because of night use.  Even then it only ran for a little over 2 hrs each time.  The ending voltage was 54.4 volts when shut down .  About the same as last year only to be put back in line in April at 51.4 volts .

I almost forgot something.  In June 2023 I was diagnosed with bladder cancer.  Chemo was the weapon of choice for 5 months followed by radical cystechnomy surgery in January 2024.  It turned into a lifestyle change but for the best as they say " I'm still on the right side of the grass".  Just ending the last of a year of Immunotherpy next month. I feel good just trying to gain my weight back and battling the annoying side effects.  

Just glad that for the most part the build in Dogtrot is finished with the exception of add ons ,improvements and enjoyment.

This look amazing! Well done. We are also building a 20x40 similar to this, but we are doing two bedrooms downstairs (1 on each side) with a bathroom for each and the dining room and the kitchen in the middle (living room in front/kitchen in back of 20 x 18 room). Do you have all your bedrooms upstairs? We are winging the layout unfortunately as we didn't see much online. Is there anything you wish you had built in? Done differently? Would appreciate any advise. We are also putting a screen porch on 16' of the porch but leaving the rest uncovered. Would appreciate your thoughts after you have lived in it about what you would add/delete from the build if you did it again. Thank you so much and you have a beautiful family. Take care.

First of all let me say I'm so happy to have found countryplans

I want to build a log cabin this year and I'm hoping this will mean I will be mortgage free!

Just wondering if anyone here has built one and has any tips for me and what to do, not to do etc...
