I saw this somewhere else a few weeks ago.  Hate to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  In well drilling, there was an area where I could count on hitting the volcanic floating sand.  Made lots of water.

Have you seen the new land on Google earth?  It would be cool to find the coordinates.  If they have current photos of it.

South of Hawaii, there's an island forming.  Also, possibly, south of Guam, although there might be more volcanic activity north of there.  

But more likely, the Caribbean????

Actually it was Tonga.  Last year.
