I had that happen with a baby raccoon that got stuck in the dumpster at work. I put a long board in there, figuring eventually he would climb out. 'Eventually' took about two seconds, and he ran up the board, up my arm, over my head, and down my back before I could even react. That took some guts to place that ladder with Momma Bear right there.
