The Lee and Stephen rainwater collection site gave me some ideas.

By the way, if you try to look at their roofwasher .pdf and it comes out looking very very strange--no .pdf border at all, a little hand but apparently nothing to do that will make it work.  I only reloaded it three times before I quite accidently figured it out:

Right-click somewhere on the page, and then select next page--each time you want to see the next picture (I think).  It shows up as a slide show.  Kind of a nice slide show.

It's sooooo hard, after you find out.  

They found, as did I, that a biggish valve to empty the tank worked better than a leak.  They didn't tell how to keep it from freezing--unless you put it in your waterhouse.

So far the tank I use all the time is small enough to take to the carwash--with an extra person to help, and some aggravation.  Don't know why I hadn't thought about pool cleaners to clean it up.

Actually I do.  I've got electricity but no water pressure down at the barn.
