Carpenter Hourly rates in your area

I just recieved my last bill- the GC changed the carpenters he was using

the bill for facia sofit and siding installation and a few walls to be framed was almost 20KUSD 26x 36 house

at a rate of $35 / hour

I think they are probably the slowest most expencive carpentry crew in the US

What do yours cost ?

UK Location, location, location.......

$20 for up here where we are at and local - on up to $40 around Sun Valley - Ketchem area.  Or one General I personally know claims they bill him that.  I don't have a clue what he pays them.... I would never hire him I seem him inflate a job up here.  Guest house and went way way over bid but there a lot of change orders submitted but he was bumping each crafts billing by as much as 20%.  The client really never caught on until recently......

In this part of California, a little north of Yosemite.  It's $40-45 /hr.
You get what you pay for... But also check out their work, ask around.
The guy I hired for some work, liked to get things done, no time wasted.
