I know there are not too many New Mexican residents on here (one other I saw someplace, maybe more?), but I ran across this PDF document.  It's specific to NM laws, but could be of interest to anyone  One nearly unique thing is there is no permit required if you meet certain criteria.

http://spectre.nmsu.edu/county_docs/LA_NM_Gray_Water_Guide.pdf  It includes several line drawing suggestions for filters, storage tanks, etc.  The regulations as specified in this brochure call for there to be an overflow connection to a sewer or septic system. There is an exception for when there is no such connection but they fail to mention it. If you're curious it's available here... (the complete liquid waste regs)

scroll down to section 20.7.3.811

Art Ludwig mentions the New Mexico greywater regulations here--to the effect that the Arizona law is damned good, and the New Mexico one is a close copy--so those of us in other states can learn about how these things ought to be legislated:

This is good info, and good news as I plan my cabin complex near Datil, NM. We'll almost be neighbors, Don ;)

I live in AZ now, and it's nice to see some common sense legislation come out of the state for once.

Little bit south   :)   Is your NM place in/near the Cibola Nat Forest?
