how to support center beam?

I am planning to put a center beam under my cabin to take away some of the bounce.
this is an after thought, so there is no footings.
if I dig some footer holes fill them with concrete and rebar, what is the best way from the footer to support the beam?
I have been looking at adjustable mobile home jacks, but don't know if there is a better solution.
maybe wood?
any advise would be appreciated.

Simpson has some brackets that would attach to a 4x beam that have a threaded stem with a nut. You should be able to do something with that. Just make a concrete base that comes up close and embed a heavy pipe who's id is big enough for the threaded post to slip in and
a heavy washer with the same ID and you should be able to adjust it enough to put the necessary preasure on the beam. Obviously I have left out the other details, but you probably have that under control.

I think you could put a 4x4 or 6x6 post on the footer and have it long enough to come  close to the joists (does not have to be right on them).  Then notch the posts so the beam fits snugly into the notch and comes up so the  joists rest on it.  Simpson makes several types of connectors to join the posts to the footer.

I think at the ends of the beam where I had access, I do a concrete block suppot and use the adjustables in the middle
