Where is everyone getting their piers?

This has been a frustrating day

I have been to five sawmills and two specialty  forest priducts companies.

It's like dealing with the three stooges. As far as rough lumber, one mill only had the owners wife there. He would call me back soon...but before I found her, some fellow on a forklift drove down the road and demanded to know who I was and why I was there. It was one of those times I was glad I carry a gun!

The only one that gave me a price on 2x4's was higher than HD. GREEN AT THAT! :-/

Soooo, I started trying to find foundation grade poles. Lots of promises, no prices.

This isn't that small an order. My best guess is that the poles will cost 3000.00 :'(

Try the local DOT dumping ground.  I have retrieved dozens of treated pilings in fine shape that were once used for the cable style guard rails.
