How hard is it changing a natural gas shop furnace to propane? I have a lead on two - one new, one very slightly used.  Both ceiling hanging shop furnaces.  A couple years ago we had several outlets here that did this sort of thing.  Service and appliance sales.  They are all gone that I know of.  Any idea or has anyone had any experience in this?

Thank

Typically it's just an orifice change, going in that direction if I remember right it'll take smaller jets. Your HVAC guys or gas supplier should be able to do it.

Contact the MFG of the heater and tell them that you need propane conversion kit for your heater. They may or may not send you one directly....might have to go through a HVAC contractor or propane dealer. The kit should consist of orifices (jets) for the main burners, adjuster spring (for adjusting gas valve), maybe a pilot orifice if needed.
