Usually, chickens aren't too keen on eating slugs.  But with a little
training, that problem can be solved.

Will this technique work for teaching chickens to eat democrats?  They probably are very similar in taste and texture.

replace democrats with politicians and I agree.  neither side has been looking out for us for decades.  democrats are just the current batch of criminals.

I need to train chickens to eat squirrels.  I just converted another one with my Gamo... 36 yards, full neck penetration.

Actually, we kept a chicken in our yard for awhile.  Laverne was getting bloodied by the rest of the flock so we kept her in the back yard for a couple of weeks.  She would actually chase squirrels, which was funny to watch.  But she also had a tendency to not be very discriminating in her bathroom habits.

We had the same problem with Henrietta.  She was eating eggs so the others beat her up.  We took her out and she got well but was free ranging in the garden and within about 2 weeks of being loose she got eaten by something - bobcat or coyote likely.

My bantams were all free range, which meant that the slowest were eaten first!  Those chickens ate everything that moved, except slugs!

Nice looking rooster, Rhino.

It has always been that loose animals will be eaten by something around here.

Cats, chickens, guineas and a goat.  All fair game here on the edge of the wilderness.

Better now that the dogs are bigger.
