I have about a dozen1x8 8 foot cedar boards, and matching 1x2's left over from someones board and batten cedar closet project.

Since I'm building a little house I was wondering what use I could put these too.  Pretty much drawing a blank,, would have made a nice floor for the loft but cedar is to soft I feel.  Best I've come up with is rip it a bit for window and door trim.

Any ideas?  The boards have been sitting around for 20 years, its about time to put them to use!

How about a simple or complex if you wish, cedar chest or storage bench for the foot of the bed.

Sand to get the cedar smell back.

Assuming it was indeed red cedar.

Will your little house have a bathroom? That would be a good spot for some of it.  Or how about 16 lineal feet of 48" wainscoting, with chair rail from the 1"x2"s?
