I've seen some BS in my time but this takes the cake. Forced medical insurance just like car insurance. If you don't buy it you will be fined $1000 which is collected by the IRS. How much you want to bet medical care gets much worse after this crap goes into law?

I love how they tax you if you don't.  The tax doesn't give you coverage.  Just like Cap and Trade, the tax doesn't actually do anything to stop green house gases, it just funnels money to the gubment.

Mandatory health insurance started in Massachusetts under Republican Governor Mitt Romney:
QuoteFormer Massachusetts governor and Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney told CNSNews.com that much of the health care plan he implemented in the Bay State in 2006--which mandates that all citizens have health insurance--could be replicated on a national scale, although he prefers that each state have flexibility in developing their programs.

I have a real problem with taxes like this including the one in Massachusetts.  Almost all taxes have some type of avoidance ability.  To avoid payroll taxes you could just not work.  Income taxes you can work to make your gains in wealth through capital.  Sales tax, you can buy less stuff or only essentials that are exempt.  To avoid car insurance, you can choose not to drive.  There is no way of avoiding this unless you are dead.  It goes against the whole carrot and stick system of taxes in an economic roll.

I call this the hold your head up high and blow your brains out tax.

Speaking of carrots, I heard the other day there was talk of taxing the food we raise in our garden.  This was from a neighbor I don't often talk to.  I didn't influence him.  Honest. [waiting]
