I love the Chickahominy Swamp but this is my favorite time of year for it. It is literally alive. I got shots at Herons (White and Blue) Geese, Wood Ducks, Redwing Blackbirds and Beaver...I also had to face my own mortality. My palsy has gotten so bad that I cannot take a freehand picture. None were keepers. I guess it's monopod and tripod only from now on.

I did have my tripod and used it for some of the landscapes. They turned out.

Sorry to hear about the need for a 'steady', Peter. Sometimes I need to get the picture enlarged so I can see what I'm looking at.

Keep at it though; nice!
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.
