I mounted my Stealth Epic on my bow quiver. I kind of like the little thing. Two touch pictures and three touch video's.

Anyway, The only bear that thought I smelled tasty (Bacon Grease and Vanilla Extract) yesterday, was a little yearling. He was about 175 pounds and I let him have another year to grow. It did get my attention at 15 yards though.

These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here!

nice shot
after reading Ernest T.'s sister's blog about rendering bear fat, I'm wondering what all you do with a bear after you shoot it.... don't know many bear hunters around here.  (Deer are another matter entirely as schools let out for nearly a week around Thanksgiving, but they call it deer season.)  I don't even know if OK has a bear season, though there are plenty of bears around some parts of the state.

Do you eat bear?  If so, what does it taste like?  (I'm thinking, not chicken.) :)

Now I'll have traumatic flashbacks every time I read the what's for dinner thread.  :-\

rofl  I have eaten bear (and bare), and the bear I had was ground into hamburger.  It was a little greasier than beef as I recall but was good enough.

I was only about 14 or so when I had it though so I don't remember that to well however I think I ate bare last week. [rofl2]

No bears around here. There is however a nudist community about 10 miles away. I suspect they eat bare their quite often. Old wrinkley people live there.
I have done so much with so little for so long that today I can do almost anything with absolutely nothing.

Now she'll end up with a whole mind full of bad images.  Anybody need an iron for that wrinkled suit?
