Earlier this month I brought you a US City Comaprision website   http://countryplans.com/smf/index.php?topic=5016.0

How about a Country comparison website? Compare such diverse things as crime rates in general or specific crimes, forested area per population, number of internet hosts per capita, asylum seekers per 1,000,000 population, tax freedom day/date, number of McDonalds or Subway restaurants per capita, and so on.

THere are little "factoids" that pop up at the screen top, such as
FACTOID #  84: Japan leads the world in car production, producing almost 50% more cars than either Germany and the United States.

or,

FACTOID #  142: If you're looking to invade someone by sea, try Canada, which has only 9000 Navy personnel guarding the longest national coastline in the world.

This will keep you busy for days if not weeks.   ;D

Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Don when I was a working stiff I would get the UCR reports every two months.  A wealth of information considering who compiled it (FBI).  Although each department submitted the info that happened in their city, county or state each month (PIA).  It broke down the crime by the nature, time of day, day of week and compared it with the population.  It also gave the ages of the offender and victims of those offenses.

Here is the site
