The dog is getting his revenge for me keeping him cooped up the past couple of days (see "why I hate living in town" if you don't already know).  I was taking him out a little while ago and slipped and fell in the snow... he seized the opportunity to run for it, so he's off running around and dragging a leash somewhere, ticking off the neighbors, no doubt.  Meanwhile I was soaked and freezing (the windchill must be somewhere around 0 today) so I had to come in and change clothes and now don't even know where to look for the little devil.  I figure he'll get tired and come back in a little while... he usually does... think I sprained my ankle slightly, but other than that I'm fine.  At least the snow was soft. >:(

Most of the time they are great company but sometimes I just get so frustrated with them that I figure if they get themselves into trouble they can figure their own way out.

HT was the dog getting revenge or the nosey neighbor?  "Leave them alone and they will come home wagging their tails behind them"

Well, he ran around for a few hours and came home...left a zillion tracks in all of the clean, smooth snow.  He kept coming to the door and looking penitent, and then I'd open the door and he'd take off laughing at me.  Finally, around dark, I convinced him to come in.  I was so irritated with him... don't need to make enemies of my neighbors.  While I was inside changing into dry clothes, I could hear one of my neighbors outside trying to catch him, and then about the time I got dried off and dressed, she came over to tell me that my dog was running around in the streets (as if I didn't know d*) and was going to get hit.  (For a one-eyed dog, he's incredibly speedy at dodging people and things.)  I just want to move somewhere warmer so that the dog can be outside where he likes to be.  He's a silly, dim-witted, and loveable mutt... I hate keeping him cooped up.
