strange thing about honeydew melons

Homegrown Tomatoes

Every time I eat them, I get almost all choked up... congested feeling, sort of... they taste good, and I don't break out or anything from eating them.  Is this a bit of an allergic reaction or do they affect everyone that way?  I remember reading one time that if you have asthma that eating honeydews or cantaloupes could make it worse... but I don't remember why.
