Hello all, :D I recently acquired this nice place in ontario at sturgeon lake. Its not exactly near the lake, but its like 2 mins from it.but its secluded enough that i like it alot. I has a 1.5 bath, kitchen, livingdining and 4 bedrooms.Plus unfinished basement and large outside deck.

I have so many ideas for it and because it needs some work still, i want to convert it over to my dream place. I have contacted a contractor with my plans to see the costs and hopefully its not bank breaking! d*

but i though maybe ill get some more tips from this wonderful site and maybe cut costs or learn a trade or 2 from this experience.

Here is what i have so far.

NOTE:
You can check out my cottage and see if that can be done. Here is the picture of it.

These are ideas for the  Window on the roof.

Option A

1) - Now,See this link here of a similar place however i would like to know the cost of creating that window on the roof. Not exact but along the same lines.

Main Door

This is an idea for above the main door.(I will be changing the door itself since right now its not very ideal or weather proof).

Here are some other Ideas for side of cottage or maybe back of it,but since the cottage is not exactly large, i don't think its doable. But worth a look.

Welcome to the forum crosswire.

I edited to make the pix appear here so others wouldn't have to refer back and forth to see it.  Nice place.  Lots of potential.

I've been lookin for 36" front door for the place however, I'm much into old art and antiques as u can see from my blog.
I was thinking for putting an arch doorway maybe like medievel era design.
