... turns 30 years old!   My second computer. First was a Sinclair.
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn't mean it is good design.

Find what you love and let it kill you.

My first computer was a c64, with 1541 drive too.

LOAD "*" ,8,1 ..  I could type it in asleep when I was 12 years old.

I wore my commodore shirt with pride today.

Gee our first one was a Radio Shack TRS 80.  I never had a Commodore 64.....  :(  I remember writing code.  Long strings of mumbo jumbo and the screen would turn blue or red and thinking damn that is so neat!!

I think it had 16k out of the box, I bought the memory expansion box from work when they decided computers weren't going anywhere  ;D

My first was a Vic20, then on to the C64 then I got their color screen portable. Loved that thing!

Then I went to an IBM with no hard drive and the power supply wasn't powerful enough to run one. I scrounged a second power supply and just ran the hard drive as an external using that.

It was all downhill from there.
