We had some pretty extreme weather, by San Diego standards at least, come through Montgomery Field yesterday.  Our copters did OK, just some minor issues.  Some of our fixed wing neighbors didn't fare as well.

You can see the footprint where this hangar USED to be.  It moved itself under the 'T' shelter.  Yes, there was a plane inside---a nice one, too.

And the plane...

A little experimental plane ripped out its moorings and jumped the fence, landing on a Prius

And in the transient parking,

I was a little afraid my tin roof structures here would have sustained some damage but they're all intact, even though they were supposed to be a 'temporary' structure----10 years ago
Find what you love and let it kill you.

Sounds like there were no personnel injured, so I guess that is a plus   :)
Just because something has been done and has not failed, doesn’t mean it is good design.
