the weakspot is in the corner, he kept hitting the center of the window.   
learned from volunteer fire department, I am not a car thief either.

He also wasn't hammer very well. the head kept twisting sideways when he hit the window.

I've heard a spark plug thrown at a car window will usually cause it to shatter as well.

I did feel bad for him though

ball bearing thrown against the glass. leaves the hand free to grab stuff
