A comment on another forum stated it was liquification under the port by improper building at the mouth of two Amazon rivers.

According to articles via Globo, about a hundred containers were lost, mostly full of electronic goods and eqiupment. Two people are missing and presumed dead.

So far, they still don't know what happened. This was at Porto de Chibatão in Manaus, Amazonas (central / west Brasil).

Actually, a quick follow up. They still haven't found the two missing people, but the company that owns the port has been fined R$62,000 (US$36,500) for operating without a environmental license from the city. http://globonews.globo.com/Jornalismo/GN/0,,MUL1625382-17671,00.html

This planet X, "Hercolubus" was last seen in these parts around the time of the "great flood" (11,500 years ago?) so this is only the start of our problems!

Has anyone seen the disaster movie 2012?

All special effects and a very thin plot, but it has some great footage of California tilting into the drink. Washington is gone too as the waters rise high enough that only the tops of the Himalayas are exposed. Fortunately, the worlds richest and most powerful elite have anticipated such an event (and its exact high water mark!) and stashed away some huge Arks in caves.

As the survivors happily float off over a calm and sunny sea to repopulate the world you just know the really interesting movie is what happens now. Did anyone remember to bring matches and seeds? How soon before the helicopters buzzing overhead run out of fuel and drop into the ocean?

I hope it happens before we all get too old to help repopulate the world.... oh, yeah,  and that we are on one of the arks..... [waiting]

And people ask us why we are moving to Eureka NV....
