Title: Builders must be NUTS !
Post by: PEG688 on December 10, 2005, 11:38:54 PM
You've seen pics of this job last month , now we have a roof , owners roofer made us wait  :o

So what we have to do is heat this deck area up to 70°  the Hardi brd and the 3/4 T&G plywood .  The blue tarps keep the heat under the open deck area , it should heat the plywood and the Hardie  brd .

The clear plastic keeps the rain / SNOW / and  dew/ FROST  off the same  :)

Ya got to be nuts to be a builder , IMO :-[PEG

BTW the deck surface will be a roof , vinyl in nature , walkable and weather proof , PITB to put down , good to live with once it's done .

Used / old elec heater to provide the required heat modified by our heating sub to use only part of it's old capasity .

What is it that you are using that cannot be applied unless it's up around 70 degrees F.?

EPDM?  or its brushable counterpart?
