I've been using Energizer Lithium batteries in a number of electronic applications for nearly over 18 months, maybe 24 months. I have found them to be excellent performers.
The set of 8 AA that power my HCO Scoutguard game camera ran out sometime in the last week. I knew they were getting low. They had been in the camera since last October, pretty much a full year of use. I can't say how many still images and videos they shot but it was a few hundred for sure, many at night so the array of infrared LED's would be powered as well as the camera. Pretty good.
Also Karen has a small Kodak digital camera, an Easyshare C180. On our trip to Europe she took 600+ pictures. All on one set of 2 AA Lithiums. I carried two sets of spares; there and back.
I also use them in the small weather station at the cabin. The current set was installed last fall. I'm changing them soon "just because."
They do work very well in cold temperatures like the game camera and weather station are subjected to.
Are they rechargeable, Don?
Nope. Disposable. I know; horrors!!
My personal experience with rechargeables has been poor for cold weather operation. They also seem to self discharge a lot more.
Possibly I could just swallow them and save on meds...... [waiting]
Just kidding.... really....REALLY.... [ouch]
