has anyone painted a propane range and had good results? if so what prep is involved and what brand of paint do you recomend ?
I have never done this but I am sure that I remember seeing regular appliance paint. I would imagine that you will need to degrease and"scuff" the surface prior to appling the paint. There should be a procedure on the paint application directions. Good luck and let us know how it turned out.
Rustoleum make a paint specific for painting appliances. I looked into it when I was trying to find appliances for the house as there were lot's of refrigerators out there but not in the color I was looking for. I think Lowes carries it in stock.
Read the cans well, some say "not for stoves".
I'll make you a deal on half a can of the kind labelled "not for stoves" :)
Most appliances are enameled or powder coated. As stated above, their are some spray paints for appliances, but most are not rated for hot applications, stoves and ovens.
