Title: Disgusted with the "news"
Post by: NM_Shooter on July 15, 2010, 11:21:27 AM
I don't care how nasty Mel Gibson is.  I just don't need to know about it.

I work out in the mornings and turn the TV on to have something distract me from a boring routine.  I had to hunt around to find a program that did not have an in-depth discussion about Mel's issues.

Actually, not much news is ever on the news.

I quit watching TV about 4 years ago for that very reason. All they care about is gossip. The real issues are ignored or glossed over.

"Actually, not much news is ever on the news."

Perfect!

Never mind the hand inside the puppet - just watch the funny show.

Computer or shortwave is the only way to get the real news IMO.

T.v. is o.k. for weather and the local (county, town news) on some issues.

If you have satellite LINK (?) t.v. gives a outsider looking in perspective on U.S. news. Sometimes Russia Today ( RT ) news, actually usually is better than "our" news.

I don't plan on having any TV programming when my house is finished. I'll still keep a TV for an occasional movie, though!

I'm also considering cutting off my internet. I have a little time to get online where I work, and I use the internet WAY too much at home. Atleast 2 or 3 hours every day.

Internet censorship is coming too, so..
