While researching a spammer I came across an interesting website. http://domain-daily.com (http://domain-daily.com)
This site has listings of all domain names that were registered on any particular date. Would you believe that on June 30, 2010 there were 98820 new domains registered. :o :o I'd like to have a penny for each one all year. Maybe even a half cent. A tenth.
Don,
You had a pair yesterday and I've seen the same thing on another forum. It is obvious there is a spammer's "forum" somewhere where they are passing around tips and vulnerabilities of different forum software. If you find it I'd like to know.
I haven't yet found a forum where spammers trade info. I have seen sites that sell software that spammers can use to auto-register and auto-spam though. Google 'xrumer'. I also came across a forum that contained nothing but spam posts. No how-to's, just an entire site full of all the kinds of spam that happens. I couldn't see the point except as maybe a test bed. ??? I think I have a bookmark for it someplace.
With all those domains being registered it is no wonder sites like GoDaddy.com are booming.
I did a Google search for "forum spam resources for spammers" and encouragingly got only links to controlling spam or anti-spam resources.
Maybe I'm being naive with such a search - there are no doubt shared resources for the members of the secret clubs.
