We came back from the farm for the big celebration tonight. I'll head back tomorrow.
Tonight, 500 or so of us will go out to dinner in about 6 restaurants across the state, to celebrate the end of the restaurant Concealed handgun ban.
Open carry in restaurants (Va doesn't have bars) has always been legal and since I don't have a permit, it doesn't concern me. It is a law that the Governor has vetoed several years in a row and we worked hard to get McDonnell elected this year.
So in a way, it's a victory for me too and I'll put on my 44 and OC at the party. It should make a good video.
For those concerned, if we see anyone drinking while carrying...they get a ride home with an empty holster. NO EXCEPTIONS>
It was fun !
The 44 in the video is me. I was the only news agency allowed in and there was a near riot with the reporters. Apparently one of them vidioed me outside, My daughter said she saw me on Channel 8. ;D

But was the food any good?
Nice video. Looks like you guys had a good time. [hungry]
We had a victory of similar sorts take place here on July 1. CCW types can now carry (albeit concealed) into NM restaurants that serve liquor.
I still hate carrying concealed. It is a tremendous pain to practice with different types of clothing. Different things are dangerous. I have yet to find a concealed carry-under-clothing that I like. Open carry is much better.
