Our Victoria Cottage at Lake Cushman is coming along nicely, with many adventures along the way which I'll post when time permits. In the meantime, I'm considering changing our front door to an externally hung "barn" door, maybe using Johnson Hardware, but was unsure of locking options. Any ideas that would look good with a "modern craftsman" style home?
Not real sure that would be appropriate. I am sure the appearance would be but functionality would not exactly work. There would not be a a way to seal it off. They work fine in an indoor setting where the elements are not a concern or a barn where air infiltration is not an issue. You could however use one as a facade over a exterior insulated door.
Post a photo and we will see! I have seen several fux barn door apps that will work.
Didn't really intend it to be fake. But I get your point about it sealing properly.
