Guns, Carp, Ugly Stupid People and lack of natural selection

As most of us know, we're destroying our environment by introducing species like Carp and Snakeheads and by destroying natural preditors as well as protecting certain undesirable species.

Natural selection is a great plan. It weeds out the weak, diseased and most importannt...the UGLY STUPID PEOPLE.

Our Government has interfered with Gods work and protected these things in recent times and the result is an over population of USP's. In the Old Days, these people wouldn't have survived puberty. They'd have walked off a cliff, forgotten to eat and starved, taken a whizz on a live electric wire or something. That's harsh but a simple fact of life.

The Government realized that USP's were kindred spirits so they put up guard rails and fences on cliffs, opened food kitchens and hired Social Workers and required low amperages on electric fences.

That brings us to our current plight. Yesterday, I noticed a fellow trying to sell a Used handgun. It was a nice gun but very used and he wanted more than a new one....why? Because he had fired 6,000 rounds in it and ammunition is expensive. He became quite upset when someone tried to convince him the cost of ammunition wasn't an acceptable add on to the price.

Like the Old Timers would say...."That Boy ain't right"!

Since he lives at the Beach...I'll bet he's either current Government, or retired.

Idiocracy (the movie) is a pretty funny take on where that road could lead.

The way it oughta work...

There should be several million acre wild preserves set aside - all over the world.  Wilderness.  Wild animals.  Predators.  The whole she-bang.  Everything that was there before man came to world domination.

At puberty, all of these newly aware 'adults' would have to trek across one of these wildernesses with only their wits and a Bowie knife (or some such).  No firearms.  No GPS.  Not outside help.  Not even a 'space blanket'.  Don't matter the season.  Puberty, that's the determining factor as to when they go.  And no damn deferments either!

USP's most likely wouldn't make it.  Potential fools would soon be parted from our midst.  Might not weed 'em all out, but we'd sure be spared the most of the crop.

I love it.  Natural selection at its best! :)

You woulda fit right in in Sparta ;)

Altho, the way some people make it sound, if we simply rolled back the safety labeling and such to about the mid-60's there would be a great removal of the people we're talking about.  To hear it these days, I shouldn't be alive because I didn't have choking warnings on most of my toys, and a lot of the toys had pointy ends ... and sharp corners in the house, and no child-proof electric outlets, etc...
