Title: It's summer, oil disaster, gas is going up...so what!
Post by: peternap on May 05, 2010, 07:48:41 PM
Except for hauling things, I don't use much fuel in the summer and since gas is going to go up a lot this year, I'm gonna be especially stingy.

I have a Motorcycle I don't ride much and a Whizzer. I ride it every day. Jane has one too but decided she didn;t like it...so, I got her a Yamaha Vino for mothers day. No tags or insurance needed, plenty of power and gets 110 miles to the gallon (So they say).

The Grand Kids like it too ;D

Of course, I still have my Whizzer ;D

Very nice!

I have always been a Schwinn nut. I'm one of the last factory trained mechanics before they shut it all down in Chicago. That one looks new, I didn't know they were making them again. I had a mid-40's one when I still had the shop. A classic!

It's an NE5. Unfortunately, the company changed the design and the engine so these aren't available any longer.
The new engines have a LOT of problems and IMO, they ruined the nostalgic appearance of the newer ones.

Jame had a yellow NE5 but just couldn't get the hang of peddling to start. We gave it to our son this evening.
