So anyway, for earth day I decided to check our carbon footprint using the new cabin as a basis.

We came out at about 1/5 of the national average so I thought that was pretty good. So I looked around some more to try to find out what was considered good. Seems we're still too self indulgent at 1/5 and we need to plant 400 trees in the rain forest to make amends. So I got to thinking why do the trees need to be planted in the rain forest? Then I looked at deer run. We have way more than 400 trees there so I decided to call it good.
The rest of you earth killers need to repent and plant trees though. :)
I just took it Scott and I didn't see where it gave a percentage of the national average but I'm at 953 pounds of CO2 per year.
Hmmm... my share of BLOK Ranch comes out to about 150 acres. 70% forested.
I'm going to have to go get a coal fired SUV to bring up my footprint.
