Title: Flex drive table saw
Post by: lonelytree on April 17, 2010, 05:21:38 PM
Is a Craftsman 10" Flex Drive any good? $125 on Craigslist. I had my Hitachi burn down and need a new saw. I have a lot of ripping to do. Will it handle the job? I prefer the belt style but there is a huge difference in price.

Thanks,
Mike

Flex Drive?  Its been awhile.   Cable driven table saw . . .   Must be 20 years old. (?)   I would stick with a belt drive saw.   For ripping, a good 24 tooth carbide blade with a 3HP motor makes for quick work . . .
