Title: Compressor sizes, costs for spray foam insulation project
Post by: n74tg on April 12, 2010, 11:28:55 AM
I'm about ready to start spraying foam insulation on my house.  I have pretty well narrowed my choices down to the Source of Supply SSP 1000 N system or the Soythane system.

The Soythane system requires an air compressor capable of 10 SCFM at 100 psi continuous.  My home compressor can't handle it and all the compressors I've seen at Lowes, HD, etc are all in the 5-6 cfm at 90 psi ranges.  I think one of the local rental companies has one that can do the trick, but it will run about $500 per month on rent.

What I'm needing is if anybody has any good news or recommendations on brands, prices, stores, etc they can pass on.

I'll write a separate post comparing the two systems later.

thanks

From what I've found out recently I need an 80 gal compressor.  Anybody got one?  What brand is it, what did you give for it, have you been happy with it...thanks.
