Title: Insulating around receptacles
Post by: DirtyLittleSecret on April 11, 2010, 12:44:57 PM
What's the general "rules" for insulating around receptacles?  I'm presently insulating the cabin with rigid foam, and am wondering if there's a minimum "clearance" required...currently the deep receptacle boxes are sitting in front of 2" foam boards (2x6 framing).  Hope to get it hooked up to the grid next month.
much appreciated!

While I cant comment on foam boards as I have never used them. The one mistake that alot of DIYers make is to not put a vapour box behind the receptical.
