Title: Cut out for sink faucet and drain
Post by: trish2 on February 22, 2010, 12:17:38 PM
Hello all:
Husband is putting in a granite counter top in the bathroom. He will need to drill for a single hole faucet and drain.   All the hole drill bit/ saws attachments that he can find (new tool to buy) are 1 3/8 inches.  Are there other sizes or has the industry standarized on that number?

Any tips for doing this will be greatly appreciated as this is the first time we are working with granite.
Thanks
Trish

1  3/8" is the standard for fixtures.

It would be worth $50 to have someone cut that for you.....The bit is expensive, and you risk cracking to the edge.
